Four hours per week will be required for coaching. This is individualized coaching of at least two teachers per week (biweekly). The maximum number of teachers to coach throughout the internship is 10.

What are some ways to organize the site-based professional development in order for the intern to meet the minimum requirement? |

The minimum length of a session is one hour; the minimum hours over the year is 24; the minimum sessions (meeting times) is 8. This allows for flexibility in shaping the PD sessions depending on goals, content, instructional needs, etc. The specific time frames and duration depends on the intern’s professional development plan and the context in which the intern works.

An interested person should submit an application as the first step in getting the name on a waiting list. The application file must be complete, and the applicant must meet all of the eligibility criteria for the name to be entered on a waiting list. |
